WHY DOES RELIGIONS SUGGEST THAT DEVOTEES COVER THEIR HEAD?
There are many different religions that recommend the wearing of head covering especially at religions events and places of worship. The reasoning is usually very similar for which the devotees accept this traditional practice of their ancestors.
The simplest and understandable explanation that I was told by my father is that covering you head with anything like a yamukka, scarf, cap, handkerchief, etc. is RECOGNIZING AND SHOWING DEDICATION TO THE FACT THAT THE HAND OF OUR GOD IS ABOVE US AT ALL TIMES and it is our acceptance of the divinity and spirituality we wish to receive to live a happy fruitful life.
When we understand why we do things that we are asked and expected to do, then we will do it with a accepting meaningful understanding. 🙏🌻
