Winterize your Yard

Winterize your Yard

Winter can be devastating to the garden equipment if they are left outside to deal with the elements of nature. The device will freeze and contract, then heat up in the sun and expand. Many times undergoing this process its internal parts break down and they will fail the next time that device is used.

Best practice is to disconnect all you plumbing and irrigation devices for winter and our into the garage door safekeeping. It will prolong their life and last you longer. This is important these days when everything has become super expensive and the tariffs will even push them higher.

Photos will guide you to look around your yard for things that need to be winterized and brought inside if possible;

Roll up garden hoses and put in garage.

Cover strong plants living outside with mulch

Shut off Outside Water Connection

Cover up Outside Hose Bibs and Hose Ends

Cover permanent outside Sprinkler Heads

Covered Hose Ends

Covered Hose Bib

Remove all outside equipment

Disconnect all outside connections and cover sprinkler heads

Remove all electronic devices and store in garage

Shutoff sprinkler heads and cover them

GOOD LUCK & Have a Good Winter.
