Understanding The First Two Important Commandments

Understanding The First Two Important Commandments

I wanted to convey this message a long time ago but have hesitated to do so due to fear of your misunderstanding of the important facts of Judaism. But I believe it has to be done. We can discuss this in person after you have gotten the background of the matter.

Not sure if Rabbi Romiel Daniel covered the important first 2 commandments which are the core foundations of Judaism.  I think it is important for every Jew to clearly understand them. Then everything can be decided knowing how much we want to deviate while following our Judaism.

Commandment ONE:
"I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me."

Commandment TWO:
“You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything. You shall not bow down to them or worship them."

I attended a christian convent St Xavier's School all through my growing years from kindergarten to 10rh grade. Not once did I enter the church affiliated to it or any other temple or any mosque. Because I do not want to disrespect the beliefs of those religions who believe that an idol is an acceptable version of God. Neither does mom do so because she accepts the factual absurdities about worshipping an idol, intentionally or unintentionally, that according to Judaism is not a representation of any God.

This comes from my personal studies, understanding and research about all religions and total acceptance of the principles of Judaism. Not to mention Christianity which is derived from Judaism and made easier to follow for humans by bending every rule possible to make it adaptable to cater to the ease of humans to willingly accept it. I have witnessed first hand poor Hindu communities being converted to Islam and Christianity because they were easy targets to be brainwashed with the financial goodness of the church or forced with islamic terror of the mosque to accept their enforced religions.

I remain strongly aligned towards orthodox Judaism without which there will be no no Jews left in this world. The dwindling communities you can see from the growing number of people who get attracted to such easier forms of religions are spread through missionaries to convert the masses either by force or by brainwashing. Jews and Hindus don't have an agenda to convert the whole world to fold into its own philosophy of offering their God as being the only one to be accepted by all.

The decision is yours to make.
