CONNECTION OF SHABBAT WITH FAMILY?
The true reasons of resting and not working on Shabbat is to facilitate spending time with family.

It is very disappointing that I have never heard or read  anything that will help us  understand the true meaning of the importance of Shabbat and the time it requires us to spend with family. There are many such topic of Jewish laws that are only explained in superficial verbatim words without truly understanding the reasoning behind them evenor understanding truly  why it is required by hallacha to do so.

Every Jew knows what the standard explanation of Shabbat is. The world was created in 6 days and on that 7 day God rested. Thus we are commanded to rest on Shabbat and keep it holy.  It is also written that work should not be performed on this day of rest. Thus goes the whole world around these exact written words with no explanation of understanding whatsoever provided with no effort to truly learn the meaning of Shabbath and its connection to family.

I BELIEVE THE SEVENTH DAY OF REST IS TO BRING FAMILY TOGETHER when everybody drops their daily obligations to work and other indulgences so that they can attend to the needs of being with family and community and get a chance to maintain the bonds required to remain a unit rather than becoming disjointed parts of a family. It is also highly encouraged on the Shabbat to indulge in martial pleasure activities and make attempts to procreate to add new future members tov the family.

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR FAMILY TO GET TOGETHER ON SHABBAT and offer religious services with one another as a group in a family or in a community setting, like at a synagogue.

Sometimes when there is illness and extreme situations that does not allow us to join the tradition of togetherness for Shabbat. At such times it permissible to take a break from the weekly rituals and try to rebuild one's health and strength so that they can continue the same tradition in the following weeks.

One should never forget the reason behind the celebration of Shabbat is obligatory and has the highest priority in Jewish life. Shabbat is the most revered and important task assigned to the Jews. It is not merely about resting or not working, but really CREATING A TRADITION OF FAMILY TOGETHERNESS of offering services to our God together and following it as the MOST CHERISHED TRADITION which we can continue as we pass it down to our children so they can also enjoy the same benefits of FAMILY TOGETHERNESS AND SUPPORT...... until death do us part. Aamen 🌻❤️.
